There is plenty of information on the web, not all of which is accurate. We recommend the information page from the National Health Service in the UK as a very reliable source.

For more patient support and practical information, including about treatments, research, psychological aspects and wigs, Alopecia UK is one of the best sites. http://www.alopeciaonline.org.uk/

Where should you buy your wigs?

Basically we don’t know! This is a very personal choice, all we can do is to say from our experience there are things you can keep in mind when making a purchase, and there are some places that we know our friends have found helpful in achieving a choice they have been happy with.
Keep in mind
Review the information on the alopecia UK webpage
Your wig supplier should have a private room where you can try on different wigs
It helps to take someone with you who will support you and give you honest feedback, and, you are less likely to be pushed into buying something you are not sure about.

Take your time and do not feel compelled to buy anything if you are not sure

Your wig supplier should be able to cut and style your wig for you as part of their service.

The wig suppliers listed below ARE NOT RECOMMENDATIONS, but places that people we know have been given good service in the past. Include them in your short list. There may be many more. We welcome your feedback about your experiences email us
